Forest Pyle

Forest Pyle, Professor of English at the University of Oregon, is the author of two monographs: The Ideology of Imagination: Subject and Society in the Discourse of Romanticism (Stanford, 1995) and Art’s Undoing: In the Wake of a Radical Aestheticism (Fordham, 2014). With Jacques Khalip he co-edited Constellations of a Contemporary Romanticism (Fordham, 2016), and he edited a special issue for Romantic Circles Praxis called Romanticism and the Insistence of the Aesthetic (2005). His essays on romantic and post-romantic literature and culture have appeared in a variety of journals, including NLH, SiR, ERR, Romantic Circles Praxis, Novel, and PMLA. “The Keats Effects” is part of a forthcoming monograph in Fordham UP’s Lit Z series called A True Romanticism, Yesterday and Tonight.
