Charlotte Sussman (Yale B.A. 1987; Cornell M.A. 1990, Ph.D. 1992), is Professor and Chair of the Department of English at Duke University’s Trinity College of Arts & Sciences. Her scholarship centers on literature, migration, and historical geospatial narratives; recent work includes The Masterless (March 2024) and essays on the Middle Passage and European migration in culture.
