
Astrid Wind

Dr. Astrid Wind has been Executive Director of the Heidelberg Graduate School for Humanities and Social Sciences (HGGS) since 2013. She earned her B.A. in Houston, her M.Phil. in English Romantic Studies, and her Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Oxford. She taught at Oxford and worked as a lecturer and researcher in Bolivia, where she co-founded a doctoral program and supported the establishment of three Indigenous universities. She has published widely and co-founded the South-South-North network at HGGS in 2018.
