Arkady Plotnitsky is a Professor of English and Director of Theory and Cultural Studies at Purdue University. Plotnitsky is the author 8 books, edited or coedited 7 volumes of essays and journal issues, and published over 150 articles on continental philosophy, Romanticism, modernism and postmodernism, the philosophy of mathematics and science, and the relationships among philosophy, mathematics, and science. His latest book is The Principles of Quantum Theory, from Planck’s Quantum to the Higgs Boson: The Nature of Quantum Reality and the Spirit of Copenhagen. He is currently at work on two books, one on Romanticism, science, and probability; and the other on Riemann’s mathematics and Gilles Deleuze’s philosophy.
