Anne Waldman is an American poet, performer, and activist known for her dynamic contributions to the Beat and post-Beat literary movements. A prolific writer, she has authored over 40 books of poetry, including Fast Speaking Woman and Trickster Feminism. Waldman co-founded the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics at Naropa University with Allen Ginsberg, where she has mentored generations of writers.
