1814.2
Mutat Fortuna Nomina Rerum[1]
Anon
The Meteor (January 1, 1814), p. 217

With most, Napoleon's prosperous ambition,
Stamp'd him a hero, statesman, politician!
But now, that fortune proves to him untoward,
The veering rabble call him fool and coward!
If such, he yet prevail'd in every scene,
"What have all Europe's kings and warriors been?"

Notes

1. "Fortune changes the name of things."
