1376. Robert Southey to Messrs Longman, Hurst, Rees and Orme, 8 November 1807 *

Dear Sir

If Mr Wynn’s copy of Palmerin [1]  has not been sent to him, I will beg you to send it to Sir Watkin Wynns in St James Square, with directions to be forwarded to him by the first opportunity. – Have the goodness also to send in my name, Amadis, Palmerin, Espriella, Thalaba, & the Annual Anthology [2]  to Miss Barker, Congreve, Penkridge, Staffordshire.

It is perhaps too soon to enquire concerning the sale of Espriella. I wish it may be such as may encourage me to bring him over again to England, – having <for I have> ample materials for two volumes more. [3]

Yrs truly

R Southey.

Nov. 8. 1807.
