Dear Sir
I am much obliged to you for the packet of music, which I yesterday received in a parcel from Messrs Longmans; – the piece however which you have done me the honour of dedicating to me was not there. [1]
I am sorry the state of your health should occasion any interruption to your pursuits. Sitatuated as you are in the most favourable part spot of this whole island with respect to climate, I sincerely hope you may soon experience its beneficial effects.
