3127. Robert Southey to John Rickman, 25 April 1818

3127. Robert Southey to John Rickman, 25 April 1818*

My dear R.

The inclosed goes cruising in quest of papers which Coxe [1]  says he possesses concerning the Jesuits in S America. If they are forthcoming so much the better; if not I shall have done my devoir in enquiring for them. I am making great progress, – & being fairly half thro the volume, feel like a horse returning from a long journey when he gets into a known road, & pricks forward at the thought of his own stable.
